That’s Crazy

because he was a Thornburg, he could not relate to those men. He

was on a different level. After all, he was living in a 5,000 square-foot
house, he and his wife owned their businesses, and, of course, he was
nothing like those men. He lasted for about three weeks.

After telling Leroy about the lawsuit, I stayed locked up in the
master bedroom. I was determined that I needed to have at least a

truce at home. I broke my silence, called Leroy into my room before
he left for work and talked to him about the lawsuit. I was so scared.
I had never been sued and did not know what to expect. I tried to

explain to Leroy how to hurt I was with him; how he was not my
knight in shining armor, as he tried to portray to the rest of the world.
          I could not stop crying.

Instead of comforting me, he asked me if I was still taking my
medication. Crazy Leroy suggested the lack of medication was making
me delusional about his drinking and having an affair. I was done and

I knew I had to come up with a plan to leave such a toxic marriage.

My immediate focus, however, remained on the business. I had

30 employees depending on me for their pay and I had to focus on
          stabilizing the business.
