her timesheet because she and her best bud Melissa thought they had
the hook-up. They covered for each other with their timesheets, but I
had a memo that Melissa had written before the two had become
partners in crime.
Melissa had written up Tonya regarding her absences and
falsification of her timesheets. It was my loophole. Placing her on
administrative leave and paying her was the price I had to pay to
prevent her destructive forces within CGS, to avoid seeing her daily,
and to stop the inside connection for Melissa and Jerome.
After she claimed she was under so much stress, going to the
hospital and all, I used that as my way out. I called her to my office at
the end of the day and told her I would help alleviate her stress and
placed her administrative leave. Drama queen was not expecting that,
she thought that she could sabotage me. They must not have realized
that I started as a conference planner and there was nothing too much
for them to sabotage.
I contacted the hotel and travel agency and was able to get most
of the information I needed to provide to the client. At the same time,
I had hired another senior conference manager, named Cassandra, to
help with the onsite support and managing of the conference. The
conference occurred, and all the government staff was present, about
30 of them. The conference started badly; to the point where I could
see the government staff, from the corner of my eye, looking at us and
staring at our blunders. Cassandra, the new hire, had forgotten to put
