That’s Crazy
I now had one month of breathing room to get things in order.
In essence, I had to arrange the logistics for three moves. I had to
choose what furniture and items I would take with me when I moved
back to the condo in November. I arranged for two storage units to
store the other four bedrooms, living room, dining rooms, and all
other items. I picked out minimal things I would take with me to
Christine’s.
Finally, July 1st arrived; Christine and Nadia came over to help
me pack. I had arranged for movers. I was getting overwhelmed again
and having a panic attack. My mind could not decide what items went
where. It is amazing to me how the brain can just shut down when it
feels overwhelming. Of course, Leroy was there to provide his
supervision, which was not required. The movers came at 7:00 am and
did not end until 11:00 pm. As the last item was placed in the truck
and I looked back, I had a sense of loss but also more of a sense of
relief and the closure of another chapter.
I moved in with Christine, continued to work on the upcoming
conference in August and prepare for the divorce trial and party.
