journey. They are too weak to reach the higher destination and given up easily. Most
leader in business or political world, even they are not spiritual leader or religious
leader, they train their mind to be calm first. Certainly, due to mind is the leader of
every action, when their mind or though calm they can make the right decision in the
right way as a good leader.
4) Vimamsādipati defines as predominance of wisdom or investigation.
Vimamsa means the wisdom which can investigate the reason. 115 Leader is a decision
maker but should not make the decision when it is angry, confuse, excited, happy, and
shakable or waving mind. To be the right decision leader must know the right time and
right way by training his mind calmly.
Undoubtable, every leader needs to adopt these four qualities of predominance
to influence people proficiently for the benefit of self and others. When these four are
compiled effectively by someone, there is nothing impossible and everything is possible
to achieve even in the spiritual level. These four qualities are the same as a table which
can stand with four legs, but if one is broken or lacks one, it might be difficult to stand
normally. In the same way, as a great leader, he must embrace these qualities in his
heart permanently or if he broke one of them, it might be hard to continue through his
leadership journey till the end.
3.4.2 Dasa Rāja Dhamma: The Tenfold Virtue of Ruler
The concept of leadership in Theravāda Buddhism should be transparent
from the Buddha and his teachings that he preached to his followers since 2560 years
ago. The etymological definition given to the term ‘Rāja’ Dhammena janam ranjetīti
raja’ meant that the king as the leader of people should make people happy with noble
policies. 116 As a result, a leader should inspire and motivate his group to work through
happily and actively with excellent policies. And no one wants to spend time with the
