Troubleshooting
you will need to contact Iris Power LP Technical Support, but additional information will be
helpful.
• Examine the synchronization signal using an oscilloscope. Once the traces are
acquired, send copies of them to Iris Power Technical Support.
NOTE:
If a sensor-based synchronization problem occurs, it is possible to have
the monitor start collecting data again by changing the synchronization to
an external source.
However, if the GuardII+ cannot synchronize to the sensor signal, then
there may be something wrong with the sensor and any data collected
may be compromised.
7.3.3. External AC Synchronization Input
Use this procedure if the external synchronization signal is connected to the AC
Synchronization input on the GuardII+ AC Termination board.
WARNING:
When troubleshooting the external synchronization signal, take
appropriate cautions to prevent injury due to the voltage levels that may
be present.

Check the following:
• Verify that the external synchronization terminal block is fully inserted and secured.
• Verify that the leads connecting to the external synchronization terminal block are fully
inserted and secure.
• If any of the above were incorrect, fix the issue and check to see if the problem has
been fixed.
