3.2.3.2. Prior to the release of the allowance, the management and the employees union/
faculty and non-teaching officials must meet and agree on specific clothing that the
allowance will be spent for. Agreement must be submitted in a form of resolution to
the university president for approval.
3.2.4. Productivity Incentive
An amount of P2,000.00 is given each year to a faculty member with permanent,
full-time, or temporary appointment, who has rendered at least one year of service in the
government.
3.2.5. Length of Service Incentive (Longevity Award)
This is given to a faculty member who has rendered at least three (3) years of
continuous very satisfactory service in a particular position. This incentive shall consist of
salary step increments in accordance with the provisions of Joint CSM – DBM Circular No. 1 s,
1990.
3.3. Study Grants
3.3.1. Scope:
3.3.1.1. Graduate programs which include Masters, Doctorate and post doctorate programs.
3.3.1.2. Both the teaching and the non-teaching may avail of this scholarship/grant. With the
implementation of the policy of hiring faculty with master’s degree, only doctoral
studies in their field of specialization in the baccalaureate level for which they were
hired shall be supported by the University from University funds. (00#6-2012 item 1c)
3.3.1.3. To balance the need of the University for the services of its employees and its desire
to send them to pursue higher studies, applicants who are enrolled in DHEIs where
subjects being pursued are scheduled only during weekends (Saturdays and Sundays)
are required to teach a reduced workload up to three classes or nine units with one or
two preparations during the first two years of their doctoral studies. They shall be on
fulltime study leave during their third/dissertation year. They are exempted from
quasi-judicial assignments requiring additional time to be spent for university activities
and programs. Scholars enrolled in DHEIs where classes are done during weekdays
may be granted fulltime study leave.
3.3.2. Categories of Scholars
3.3.2.1. Regular Scholars.
3.3.2.1.1. Regular scholars are those faculty who are on their doctoral studies and
shall be on fulltime and official business (OB) basis.
3.3.2.1.2. The number of scholarship slots under the Regular Scholars
(Fulltime/Official Business) is identified/set by the University President after
the ascertaining availability of funds.
3.3.2.1.3. They shall receive the following benefits/privileges from the University:
