3.3.2.3.1.1.1. An unextendible leave of absence with pay for
one semester but to finish the degree within one
year from the start of the grant; or
3.3.2.3.1.1.2. A financial assistance worth Ten Thousand (Php
10,000.00) pesos for finishing a master’s thesis
or Twenty Thousand (Php 20,000.00) pesos for
finishing a dissertation; 50% to be released
upon submission of a duly approved
thesis/dissertation proposal and the other 50%
to be released upon submission of the approved
bound copies of the thesis/dissertation to the
University.
3.3.2.3.1.2. Tuition Fee Waiver. To encourage professional growth, the
University extends 100% tuition fee waiver to IFSU employees
pursuing higher degrees in the University. This subsidy is valid
throughout the length of their study but should not exceed
three (3) years for those pursuing a master’s degree and five
(5) years for those pursuing a doctorate degree. However,
grantees shall only be permitted to study in IFSU if there is no
in-breeding or if they are enrolled in a program in the
University declared as a COD/COE or Level IV.
3.3.2.3.1.3. Part-time study. Employees who enroll to pursue studies on a
part-time basis (9-12 units during regular semesters and 3-6
units during summers) and whose class schedules fall during
working/office hours. Privilege includes attending classes on
official time and use of Fridays or Mondays as travel days to
and from school.
3.3.3. Training Programs
These are training programs with a duration of less than one year which may be availed by
employees through the recommendation of the immediate supervisor or upon the directive of
the University President.
Applications shall pass through the FSDC for evaluation and further action/recommendation
to the University President.
3.3.3.1. In-house Trainings- these are trainings conducted by the Department of Human
Resources and other offices to IFSU employees to include:
3.3.3.1.1. Induction Program- refers to the program for new entrants to the University
to develop their pride, belonging, and commitment to the University and its
vision, mission and goals.
3.3.3.1.2. Orientation Program- refers to activities and courses designed to inform
new employees about IFSU’s programs, thrusts and operations as well as on
their duties and responsibilities and benefits.
