Page 239 - MY STORY
P. 239
Much of my effort was spent supporting the Boeing
Company which meant I’d be working with and for folk
that used to work for me. So the good news was “that
they knew me” and the bad news was “that they knew me.”
So, unbelievably I will have put in 20 years of work for
MTSI as of this August. Looks like this relationship will
end on 5 May 2017, however. No regrets. So …
WHAT DOES ANY OF THIS MEAN?
When I look back from some distance I tried to figure out
if there were significant “High Points” in my career that
really stand out. I found a few mountain peaks that
allowed the sun to shine briefly on my countenance.
1. When I became known for my contributions to titanium
technology.
2. For becoming nationally known for our work on
electron microscope fractography.
3. Our groundbreaking work on High Energy Laser
vulnerability and hardening.
4. My endeavor to become a respected leader of
exceptionally capable and brilliant engineers, scientists,
and technicians (I think I did OK).
