5.1.3 FF/00 Cause by Voltage

                   Example: Intel
                   965P-DS3 1.0 identified by:

                   01. Post code FF.
                   02. VCC3_DAC no voltage.
                   03. Q290 bad and swap ok.
                   Signal Explanation:
VCC3_DAC (VCCA_DAC): display DAC analog power.

                   Repairing Notes:
VCC3_DAC fail could cause NB to fail.

                                          Figure 5-3: FF/00 Cause by Voltage-1

                   Example: Intel
                   965P-DS3 1.0 identified by:
                   01. Post code FF.

                   02. GTLREF0 voltage over high.
                   03. R7 impedance too high and swap ok.
                   Signal Explanation:
The GTL+ inputs require a reference voltage (GTLREF) which is used by the receivers
to determine if a signal is logical 0 or logical 1. GTLREF must be generated on the

motherboard. Termination resistors (RTT) for GTL+ signals are provided on the
processor silicon and are terminated to VTT. Intel chipsets will also provide on-die
termination, thus eliminating the need to terminate the bus on the motherboard for most

                   GTL+ signals.
