LEAVE POLICY
Objective
This policy provides for administration of employees' leaves while adhering to the UAE Labor Law.
The policy specifies the roles and responsibilities of employees, Direct Supervisors and HR in the
administration of employees' leaves in the organization.
Scope
All IPSOS UAE employees are covered by this policy.
Details
I - Annual Leaves
1. All employees shall, for each year of service, be entitled to annual leaves of not less than:
a) 1.83 days working days per month, where the worker's period of service is more than six months
but less than one year,
b) 22 working days a year, where the worker's period of service is more than one year.
2. IPSOS Management encourages all employees to utilize the entire 22 working days of annual leaves
within the same year.
Annual Leaves of New Joiners
3. Annual Leaves of new joiners will be accumulated on a pro-rata basis from joining date, which can
be utilized only following the end of the employees' probation period. If any employee's service ends
during the probation period, he/she will not be entitled to any pro-rata payment or annual leaves by
the Company.
Guidelines for the administration of annual leave
4. Annual leaves within each calendar year shall be scheduled at the mutual consensus of the employees
and supervisors. Considering the business requirements, supervisors may require employees to split
their annual leaves into not more than two periods.
5. Supervisors shall ensure that at any year end, no employee has unused annual leaves balance
exceeding 22 working days.
Unused Annual Leaves
6. Unused annual leave balances as of end of the year, will NOT be encashed nor carried forward.
Employees are strongly encouraged to take their annual leaves within the same calendar year.
