Ch 02
Introduction

Exploratory research in the form of desk research was

conducted. The literature review compiles and studies

the overall experience of air travel passengers. The

different interaction points for passengers were

identified which could assist in further understanding

of their physical and psychological effects on them.

The existing methods of organisation and travel

assistance were studied to recognise the current

attempts at improving air travel. Finally, an in-depth

study on principles of interaction design which can be

useful for the final solution concludes the review study.

I conducted competitive analysis and benchmarking

to understand how the current solutions improve air

travel experience and found the gaps within them.

The overall findings were summarised and action

points formulated to guide the definition phase.
