44. If you are not happy wwith your messsage content,, then record a new messaage by pressinng the recordd button
again. This will overwrite your previous messagee.
Trouubleshootingg
I havve recorded mmy message, but when I trry to play it bback I cannot hear anythinng
Check youu have actually recorded something. Thhe length of thhe current reecording is shoown as e.g. 00:01:35 (1
minute annd 35 seconds). If the curreent recordingg length is 0 oor much loweer than expectted then try rrecording
your messsage again.
Check thaat playback is not muted, aand that the vvolume is turnned up. If playback is muteed then the icon will
be displayyed ‐ press this to un‐mutee the speakerr. Volume cann be adjusted using the volume slider described
above.
Try re‐reccording the mmessage, and aas you are reccording, watcch the lightts above the ggain control
o If no lights apppear, or only oone or two apppear, then ccheck the folloowing.
o Inncrease the gaain of your mmicrophone byy moving the gain control t to the right hhand end.
o Click the microophone icon tto the left of tthe gain conttrol to bring uup the "Adobee Flash Playerr Settings"
annd make suree that the Alloow option is sselected. Clickk on the micrrophone icon at the bottomm of this
seettings box annd check thatt the correct mmicrophone is selected in the dropdowwn, and that the record
voolume is turned up.
o If you are usingg an external microphone,, check that tthis is pluggedd in correctly.
If this still doesn't solvee the problemm, then it mayy be that youur microphonee has been mmuted by the ooperating
system (e.g. Windows)) ‐ refer to your operating system help ffor further information.
If several green lights aappear consisstently while recording you ur message, tthen it is likely that your mmessage has
recorded correctly andd the problemm is occurring when playingg it back. If yoou are using eexternal speaakers, check
that thesee are pluggedd in correctly aand turned on. If this doess not resolve the problem,, then it may be that your
speaker hhas been muteed by the opeerating systemm (e.g. Windoows) ‐ refer too your operatting system hhelp for
further information.

This may be becauuse your micrrophone gain is set too higgh. Reduce thhe gain by mooving the gainn control to
the leeft hand end..
