C.2.12.2 Housekeeping
KT1 & KT2 WTP are committed to ensuring good housekeeping and physical
arrangement to maintain good working conditions as well as to avoid creating an
unsafe working condition. All workers and contractors are committed to ensuring
their workplaces are tidy and free from hazards.
C.2.12.3 OSH Program
The Company also participated in the OSH programme from the chlorine principal
supplier such as the audit and inspection program. This is normally arranged by the
principal clients and information to the company management as part of ongoing
service contract requirements.
C.2.12.4 No Smoking Policy
The whole worksite area including the administration office is a designated non-
smoking area. This is implemented by adequate signage, instructions and also
penalizing (disciplinary procedures, dismissal, banned from entering) for non-
compliance. Smoking is only allowed in a designated area.
C.2.13 OSH Communications, Consultation, and Employee Involvement
Arrangement for employee participation on OSH such as OSH promotion or
campaign, safety observation program and means for obtaining employee
feedback through complaint/suggestion scheme, if available
C.2.13.1 OSH Communications
All regulations, codes, permits, standards, and practices are identified, documented
and communicated. The Company uses both formal and informal methods of
communication to inform employees of important issues and best practices.
OSH information is posted on the Company worksite notice boards dedicated to
OSH issues.
Typically, the Company has initiated the following communication methods.
• Every employee is given an OSH induction to introduce the OSH values and
expectations i.e. personal responsibility for OSH;
• Every employee is briefed on OSH targets;
