Guideline for Disciplinary Action on Examination Cheating or Misconduct*
1. In the event of the student’s misconduct or showing behavior that is nonconforming to
the Regulation of Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology on the Student’s Code of Conduct in
Examination, B.E. 2550:
1.1 The invigilator shall firstly warn the said student.
1.2 In the event of the student neglects the warning or behaves not in accordance with
the governing regulation, such as dresses informally or arrives examination room late for more than
30 minutes from the starting time of examination, the invigilator shall deprive the said student’s
right to sit for examination, and record the incident in Examination Cheating Report.
1.3 The invigilator can re-arrange or move the examination seat of the student in the
event where the student has action that implies cheating or disturbs other students during
examination.
1.4 Upon detection by the invigilator that the student explicitly intends to cheat or
implies cheating on examination with evidence, the invigilator under consent of the chief of
invigilators of that examination room can terminate the examination of the said student, but not
allow the said student to leave the examination room before 45 minutes from the starting time of
examination, and also record in that student’s examination paper both in question and answer sheets
stating “examination cheating” or “examination cheating implication”.
1.5 The invigilator shall take question sheet, answer sheet, and evidence, record in
Examination Cheating Report, and then deliver to Examination Center after examination ends.
The student who commits examination cheating shall be penalized as adjudged by the
Examination Disciplinary Committee.
2. The Examination Disciplinary Committee shall have duty to judge the offence due to act
of examination cheating hereunder. The said Committee consists of Vice President of Academic
Affairs as Chairman, Deans of every Faculty, representative from the Registrar, and representative
from Student Affairs Division. The resolution of the Examination Disciplinary Committee shall be
deemed as final, provided that during the hearing process the lecturer or faculty in charge of the
course, student’s advisor, examination invigilator and student who commits the offence, can be
called to provide details and to hear the consideration of penalty level.
