REPORT ROTARY CLUB THANE MIDTOWN 1 . CLUB ASSEMBLY.
DATE 12/07/2019
ATTENDANCE:- Total Attendance Members 40 And 1 District Dignatory.

FELLOWSHIP:- Excellent bonding among members could be seen along with the Chief Guest AG Pushan Vaidya with tea, coffee &
biscuits.

MEETING:- The Meeting was called to order by Club President followed by the National Anthem.
Rtn. Kishore Bhalerao escorted the Chief Guest to the dais.

Rtn. Kirti Vaidya introduced the Chief Guest AG Rtn. Pushan Vaidya:- The introduction was excellent, Crisp , clear and to the point and
was very well appreciated.
Budget Presentation:- Rtn. Shirish Kelkar our club treasurer presented the Budget for the year 2019-20 in his own unique innovative
style and slides with touch of humour. The Budget was proposed by Rtn. Milind Vaidya , seconded by Rtn. Divakar Rai and unanimously
passed by the members.
The whole session was extremely interactive as the Directors present giving a brief insight to the AG about their areas of focus and
plans for the year.
- Rtn Santosh Bade :- Plan for E- Bulletine and Global Grant Projects
- Rtn Ulhas Pradhan:- Plan for School wall painting project
- Rtn. Nitin Kelkar:- Appeal for TRF and plans for 100% EREY club
- PP. Rtn. Arvind Datar:- Membership drive - Plans for increase of members by 10%.
- Club President Rtn Rajendra Zende:- Briefed the AG about our efforts towards Branding of Rotary and T-Shirts presentation
to all members for promotion of rotary as an international organisation. The T- Shirts were highly appreciated.
- PP. Rtn. Milind Ballal informed the club members about the upcoming P R Seminar on 28 . July organised at hotel Satkar
th
Residency emphasizing the need of enhancing the Public Image of Rotary by use of Digital media. His innovative suggestion
of involving senior journalist with rotary by making them honorary members or members of clubs which will in turn help the
clubs getting highlighted in media and getting coverage in various newspapers was highly appreciated by the AG.
- PP. Rtn. Kishore Bhalerao expressed about the plans of imparting training to each & every member to enhance knowledge
of the present and the future Directors thereby making them sound, and improve the oneness and strength of the club.

AG Pushan Vaidys Address :- Taking note of various presentations by the Club directors avenue chairs, PP and senior members the AG
neatly summed up the speech putting forward his observations and directing the president and club officials towards the areas of
improvement which was taken note off by the president.
KEY TAKE AWAY FROM AG’s ADDRESS.
- Re-look at the budget for Mid-day meal programme since it is very less.
- Membership drive- look to induct young blood less than 30 years age group
- Offer Special rate to attract more young members.
- Try to induct more & more women members for their abilities and sincerity
- Encourage more couple members.
- Keeping in line with the Theme of the current year RI President Rtn. Mark Maloney (ROTARY CONNECTS THE WORLD) Try to
get international speaker which could be a joint session for all the rotary club in the dist., Plan for more international youth
exchange programmes.

Vote Of Thanks:- An excellent and apt speech was presented by our Rtn. Divakar Rai. Followed by the secretarial announcements.
Rtn. Subhash Kapur handed over a small token of appreciation to the AG and the meeting was adjourned. It was followed by light
dinner which everyone relished and carried home the taste of spicy Misal Pav, Upvas Kachori & Kheer.
