to protect the guest’s head as he or she enters.
4. Bid goodbye to the guest and gently close the door.
Task 7: Load and unload luggage in the vehicle
OPERATING PROCEDURES STANDARD(s)
Unloading luggage:
1. As soon as the guest vehicle stop in the hotel entrance, the
bellman shall open the passenger door. The bellman upon opening the passenger door shall greet the guest
“Good Morning Ma’am/Sir, welcome to (The Company).
2. Assist the guest to get out of the vehicle (If needed).
3. Take the guest luggage from the trunk of the vehicle, confirm Ma’am/Sir, you have a total of (No.) of luggage?
with the guest the no of luggage you bring out from the car.
4. Ask the guest for his/her name for the luggage tag.
5. Escort the guest to the reception area and to the front desk.
6. Endorse the guest to a guest service associate and ensure
that guest that you will be taking care of his/her luggage.
7. Write down the room number in the luggage tags. If the guest
completed check-in procedure and room is already available
assist the guest to his/her room and bring up his/her luggage.
Should the room is not yet available, safe keep the luggage in
the luggage room, update the luggage logbook tracker.
Loading luggage:9
1. Collect luggage from the guest room.
2. Try to make conversation with the guest and ask if they still
need your assistance before leaving the room.
Confirm the number of luggage you received from the guest before

5. IF the vehicle is in the hotel entrance, load the luggage of the
guest in the trunk.
6. Upon loading the luggage and confirmation from the guest as
to the number of luggage loaded. Open the door of the
vehicle, assist the guest and bid good and safe trip. Ensure that you have loaded the luggage of the guest in the correct
vehicle and ask the guest to check completeness of luggage that
you have loaded in the trunk.
