PROFILE:
Describe the situation or event related to the individual's or team's performance.
This team become excellent collaborators through this project as the system helps
tie together and synchronize the different lab sites (Plaza, LC, and Wooster) as well
as the lab locations (QC micro, R&D micro, etc.)Not only did the team increase
communication in labs, but also cross-functionally with IT, Learning and
Development, QA, and vendors. The team demonstrated GOJO ways of working
by doing what it took to get the system up in time (sometimes working very long
hours or weekends). This work impacts our enterprise by streamlining our
processes and making our data beginning to end come together.
It is important to note that members of this team also were supporting the Purell
Solutions launch throughout the year.
Describe in detail the individual's or team's notable behaviors.
This team took what used to be rocky communication between sites and locations
and worked together to find ways to come together for a common purpose of
making our work count for more and be for useful for the enterprise. Having open
minds and big picture thinking really helped the team to succeed in the mission to
use a validated system for lab data. Phases 2 and 3 to come throughout the next
year will have an even greater impact on efficiency as we get more our day to day
work into the system.
What were the results of the individual’s or team’s behaviors?
The team achieved all of the above goals. It is important to note that this team was
not a 100% dedicated team and each member also had to maintain their day-to-day
responsibilities. Throughout the configuration of this system:
o 1079 instruments loaded into LIMS for Phase 1 to support the Instrument
Management module, including all performance check analysis and product
specifications. Harmonization of work processes between laboratories was
completed where possible to create standard work and operations.
o 801 stock templates were loaded into LIMS for Phase 1 to support the Inventory
module.
o 622 standard and reagent templates were loaded into LIMS for Phase 1 to support
the Standard & Reagent module.
o 6 process schedules were loaded into LIMS for Phase 1 to support the
Environmental Monitoring module.
Training consisted of:
o Reference Guides provided to each user for each module
