Describe the situation or event related to the individual's or team's performance.
Harry's coaching and team building skills allowed him to attract talent from the local area to do in house many
tasks and projects that were previously outsourced. His team performed for $4,000 grounding and bonding
design and installation work for the rail project that was quoted by contractors at over $25,000. They supported
the new waste water system at Wooster, helping to winterize it and operate in very cold conditions. His team
has done many lighting retrofit projects that have reduced the electrical consumption of the site and resulted in
rebates from the utility company.
Describe in detail the individual's or team's notable behaviors.
Harry coaches his team, making himself available 24 hour a day to help his team on back shifts solve
problems. He is able to use a new computer maintenance management system to manage work orders and
prioritize tasks to that he makes the most efficient use of time and resources. He is firm but fair with
contractors to ensure GOJO gets the best services. He sets high but clear expectations for himself and his
team and works to empower everyone to attain the expected results.
What were the results of the individual’s or team’s behaviors?
Harry built a 3 shift 5 day team of facilities mechanics at the GOJO Wooster campus over the last year. This
team is a mix of GOJO employees that transferred to Wooster and new hires. Harry has very effectively
blended the individuals into a high performing team that work very well together and support the rapidly
expanding operations at Wooster
