Hall Passes
All students are required to have a pass in order to leave a classroom during class. Please use this
privilege sparingly. Faculty should continually monitor the use of passes from their classes and
students in the hall.
Homework Policy
Homework should be given as reinforcement of skills previously introduced and must have a
purpose. Each department’s homework policy should be read and signed by the parent and the
child. Please differentiate assignments based on students’ needs and abilities
It is important that teachers always take time to review homework assignments to give students
feedback and monitor progress. (What gets monitored, gets done!)
Each department is expected to submit a uniformed homework policy the first week of
school.
Interruptions to Instruction
State law specifies that interruptions to classroom instruction should be kept to a minimum. In
order to allow for maximum instruction time, calls to your classroom during the instructional day
will be of emergency nature or for students’ early dismissal. Please notify family and businesses
that you are unable to receive message and phone calls during the school day that are not of an
emergency nature. The office will assist in delivering messages to you in a timely manner.
Keys
Teachers will be supplied with keys to their rooms. Master keys will only be supplied to personnel
in regular need of such keys. All keys will be accounted for and turned in at the end of the school
year. Lost keys will be replaced at a cost of $25 per key. Teachers must immediately report any
lost keys to the office.
Lesson Plans

template is in Exhibit J. Plans must be submitted to the assigned Administrator in hard copy
and electronic copy must be placed on in the Shared Documents Folder. Instructions on
uploading documents can be found in Exhibit K.
Lesson plans are an essential tool to the success of your classroom. They are the organized
