Certainly, everything should be correlated with experience. It is about
how personal experience implicated in a new idea in writing paper.

The data indicated that the participants correlated their prior
knowledge and current knowledge. Prior knowledge itself acquired from both
background knowledge and life experience. Meanwhile, current knowledge
achieved through reading present literatures.
Prior knowledge really had an important part in comprehending what
informant read from references, as stated by foregoing researcher, Abdelaal
& Sase (2014), they said that the better someone’s prior knowledge, the
better reading comprehension. Therefore, the ability in combining prior
knowledge and current knowledge would generate a good quality of
discussion in an academic writing.
Analyzing Relevant Literatures
In writing, each writer has their own style to express the idea.
Sometimes a reader needs to analyze line by line frequently to understand
point of reading. Analysis itself refers to detailed examination of the elements
or structure of something (Oxford dictionary online , 2017). The following
statements were what informants done with regard to analyzing literatures in
writing an academic paper. They reflected,

Theories stated on references were collected and analyzed critically to
make a conclusion based on my own view (M3).
The participants’ statements above indicated that literatures which
they read should be analyzed to emerge ideas in writing. The analysis could
be done by collecting proposition then making their own conclusion.
Synthesizing Relevant Literatures
In reading, there are three kinds of strategy; they are content
strategies, function strategies, and rhetorical strategies. In analyzing reading
references, a reader is in the level of rhetorical strategies since it is a process
of understanding by activating construct reading text; considering the
purpose of author, context, content, and function (Hass & Flower, 1988 in
