The data above indicated that participants need to read many times to

get some ideas stated on books or articles before synthesizing to write an
academic paper. This was relevant with Han & Chen (2010), they expressed
that a high frequency of reading could increase reading comprehension.
Another important point noticed that informant also focus on reading
abstract of relevant studies first (scanning strategy), after that they reading by
                     using skimming strategy.

                     Coding the Points of Literatures
Accoding to Saldaña (2015), A code in qualitative inquiry is most often
a word or short phrase that symbolically assigns a summative, salient,
essence-capturing, and/or evocative attribute for a portion of language-
based or visual data. Actually, coding is as qualitative technique data analysis.
Generally, it also could be used as strategy in reading comprehension. The
                     participant reflected,

I am coding the points stated on literatures, like underline the key
words of proposition. Then I am trying to understand. (M4)

The examples of excerpts above describe participants’ reading strategy
concerning coding in writing a research article, specifically coding could be
done by underlining the key words of proposition from relevant literatures.
Then participants tried to understand and clarify the points.

                     D. CONCLUSION AND IMPLICATION
This qualitative case study inquiry was conducted to gather
information about authors’ reading strategies in writing a research article
from four faculty members of different universities in Indonesia. The findings
from this study would suggest that significant improvements can be made to
the increasing quality and quantity of research article publication.
After data interpreted and discussed based on themes emerged, I
conclude by developing the specific finding. Needless to say, the strategies
how authors read literatures to write an academic paper could be shortened
as follow, firstly correlating prior knowledge with current knowledge, it tends
to associate previous knowledge either experiences or something read from
particular references or combination of those two. Secondly, analyzing
relevant literatures, such strategy can be done by reading line by line
frequently to get a better understanding . The third, synthesizing relevant

literatures by combining the points of analysis. The fourth, scanning the point
of relevant literatures, actually the author only used this strategy on main part
