Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine how cooperative learning
implemented in teaching Indonesian language at the Islamic Elementary
of Albina, East Luwu, South Sulawesi. The data were collected through
semi-structure in depth interviews with Indonesian Language teacher. The
interview data were transcribed and analyzed line by line to generate and
develop themes. The research revealed that the teacher had implemented
cooperative learning in the Indonesian language subject. But not all
teaching materials used cooperative learning, it depended on appropriate
materials. Moreover, informant also used learning media to support
teaching learning process. Various media used simulated creative thought
such as using picture and audiovisual. Basically, media implemented in
teaching had a great implication in learning. Next, this research also found
that students there were significant effect writing and speaking students’
ability.
