                                                  Abstract
                  This  study aims  to  determine  the  perspective  of  the  Japanese  language
                  teachers and the implementation of cooperative learning in the classroom
                  at five schools in Makassar. From the research results that have not been
                  used  cooperative  learning  popular  in  these  schools  but  teachers'
                  discussion  group  participants  more  familiar  with  the  traditional
                  perspective that focuses on grammatical compared cooperative learning
                  approach  scientific  approach.  The  elements  form  a  discussion  group
                  activity with the theme of authentic and interesting and learning activities
                  that  can  lead  to  motivation  yet  reflected  in  learning  activities.  In  other
                  words,  the  implementation  of  group  discussion  in  class  is  still  very
                  conventional in which the teacher is still a center of learning grammatical
                  course,  as  well  as  teachers  have  a  good  understanding  of  cooperative
                  learning,  role,  procedure,  strategy  discussion  group  either  in  a  modern
                  perspective to achieve communicative competence.

                  Pendahuluan
                     A. Latar Belakang
                        Pengembangan  kurikulum  sesungguhnya  adalah  kegiatan
                  yang  urgent  dilakukan,  karena  senantiasa  harus  mengikuti
                  perkembangan  zaman.  Pengembangan  kurikulum  adalah  suatu
                  proses  penyusunan  rencana  yang  didalamnya  terdiri  dari  isi  dan
