‫ﺍﻹﻏﺮﻳﻖ ﺗﺤﺖ ﺃﻳﺪﻳﻬﻢ ﻭﺭﻫﻦ ﺗﺼﺮﻓﺨﻢ‪ .‬ﻭﺃﻥ ﺍﻟﺼﻴﻨﻴﻦ ﻭﺍﻟﻌﺮﺏ ﻗﺪ ﺳﺎﻫﻤﻮﺍ ﻑ ﺍﻏﻨﺎﺀ ﺣﻀﺎﺭﺓ‬
‫ﺍﻟﻌﺎﻟﻢ ﻭﺗﻘﺪﻣﻪ ﻭﺭﻗﻴﻪ‪ .‬ﻭﻋﺎﺵ ﺍﻟﻌﺮﺏ ‪ 2‬ﻣﻨﻄﻘﺔ ﻫﺎﻣﺔ ﻭﻫﻲ ﻣﻬﺪ ﺍﻟﺤﻀﺎﺭﺓ ﻭﺍﻷﺩﻳﺎﻥ ﻭﺍﻟﻤﻌﺎﺭﻑ‬
‫ﻭﺍﻟﻌﻠﻮﻡ ﺍﻹﻧﺴﺎﻧﻴﺔ‪ -‬ﻭﻗﺪ ﺃﻇﻬﺮ ﺍﻟﺸﻌﺐ ﺍﻟﺼﻴﻨﻲ ﻧﺒﻮﻏًﺎ ﻭﺗﻮ ًﻗﺎ ﻑ ﻣﺠﺎﻝ ﺍﻟﻔﻨﻮﻥ ﻭﺍﻟﺰﺭﺍﻋﺔ ﺑﺼﻔﺔ‬

‫ﻭﻟﻘﺪ ﻟﻔﺖ ﻫﺬﺍ ﺍﻧﺘﺒﺎﻩ ﺍﻟﻐﺮﺏ ﻭﺍﻫﺘﻤﺎﻣﻪ‪ .‬ﻭﻛﺎﻥ ﻟﻠﺼﻴﻨﻴﻴﻦ ﺇﺳﻬﺎﻣﻬﻢ ﻣﺴﺒﻘﻬﻢ ‪ 2‬ﻓﻬﻢ ﺍﻹﻧﺴﺎﻥ‬

‫ﺃﻧﻬﻢ ﺃﻫﻞ ﻟﺤﻜﻤﺔ ﻭﺍﻹﺭﺍﺩﺓ ﺍﻟﻘﻮﻳﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﻐﻠﺒﺔ‪ 2‬ﺣﻜﻢ ﺑﻻﺩﻫﻢ ﻭﺗﺼﺮﻳﻒ ﺃﻣﻮﺭﻫﺎ ﻭﻣﻘﺎﺩﻳﺮﻫﺎ‬
‫ﻭﺑﺎﻟﺮﻏﻢ ﻣﻦ ﻣﻤﺎﺭﺳﺔ ﺍﻟﺒﻄﺶ ﻭﺍﻟﻘﻬﺮ ﻭﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﻋﺎﻧﻮﻫﺎ ﺧﻻﻝ ﺍﻟﺤﻘﺒﺔ ﺍﻻﺳﺘﻌﻤﺎﺭﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﻐﺮﺑﻴﺔ ﺍﻟﻴﺎﺑﺎﻧﻴﻪ‬

‫ﻭﻻ ﻏﺮﻭ ﺑﻌﺪ ﺫﻟﻚ ﺍﻧﻪ ﻭﺣﺘﻰ ﻭﻗﺖ ﻗﺮﻳﺐ ‪ 2‬ﻣﻄﻠﻊ ﺍﻟﻘﺮﻥ ﺍﻟﻌﺸﺮﻳﻦ ﺃﻥ ﻳﻌﺘﺒﺮ ﺍﻟﺼﻴﻨﻴﻮﻥ ﺃﻧﻔﺴﻬﻢ‬
‫ﻫﻢ ﺍﻟﻤﺘﺤﻀﺮﻭﻥ ﻓﻘﻂ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻭﺟﻪ ﻫﺬﻩ ﺍﻟﺒﺴﻴﻄﺔ ﻭﺍﻋﺘﻘﺪ ﺃﻧﻬﻢ ﻣﺤﻘﻮﻥ ﻑ ﺫﻟﻚ ﻭﻷﻧﻨﻲ ﻋﺸﺖ ﺑﻴﺖ‬
‫ﻇﻬﺮﺍﻧﻴﻬﻢ ﺳﻨﻮﺍﺕ ﻃﻮﻳﻠﺔ ﻭﻗﺪ ﺍﻋﺘﺎﺩ ﺍﻟﺼﻴﻨﻴﻮﻥ ﺍﻟﻘﺪﻣﺎﺀ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻭﺻﻒ ﺍﻷﺟﺎﻧﺐ ﺑﺄﺣﺪ ﻭﺻﻔﻴﺖ‬
‫ﺷﻴﺎﻃﻴﻦ ﺃﻭ ﻫﻤﺞ ﻭﺑﺮﺍﺑﺮﺓ ﻭﻳﺄﺗﻲ ﺑﻌﺪ ﺍﻟﺼﻴﻨﻴﻴﻦ ﺃﻭ ﺩﻭﻧﻬﻢ ﺑﻜﺜﻴﺮ ﻛﻞ ﺍﻷﺟﻨﺎﺱﺍﻷﺧﺮﻯ‪ ،‬ﻭﻻ ﻋﺠﺐ‬
‫ﺑﻌﺪ ﺫﻟﻚ ﺇﺫﺍ ﻣﺎ ﺃﻃﻠﻘﻮﺍ ﻋﻠﻴﻬﻢ ﺍﻟﻬﻤﺞ ﻭﻻﺃﻥ ﺣﻀﺎﺭﺓ ﻫﺆﻻﺀ ﺍﻟﺸﻌﻮﺏ ﺇﺫﺍ ﻣﺎ ﺳﻠﻤﻮﺍ ﺑﺄﻥ ﻟﻬﻢ ﺣﻀﺎﺭﺓ‬
‫ﻻ ﺗﺮﺗﻘﻲﺇﻃﻻﻗﺎً ﺇﻟﻰ ﺣﻀﺎﺭﺓ ﺍﻟﺼﻴﻨﻴﻴﻦ‪ .‬ﻭﻻ ﻋﺠﺐ ﺑﻌﺪ ﺫﻟﻚ ﺇﺫﺍ ﻣﺎ ﺃﻃﻠﻘﻮﺍ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻷﻭﺭﺑﻴﻴﻦ ﺍﻟﺒﺮﺍﺑﺮﺓ‬
‫ﺍﻟﺤﻤﺮ‪ ،‬ﻭﻧﺘﻴﺠﺔﻻ ﺣﺴﺎﺳﻬﻢ ﺑﻌﺮﻗﺔ ﺣﻀﺎﺭﺗﻬﻢ ﻭﻗﺪﻭﻣﻬﺎ ﻭﻗﺪ ﺭﺅﻭﺍ ﺃﻥ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻫﺬﻩ ﺍﻷﺟﻨﺎﺱ ﺃﻥ ﻳﻘﺮﻭﺍ‬
‫ﺑﻬﺬﺍ ﺍﻟﺘﻔﻮﻕ ﻭﺍﻟﺴﺒﻖ ﺍﻟﺼﻴﻨﻲ‪ .‬ﻭﺑﺎﺕ ﻋﻠﻴﻬﻢ ﺃﻥ ﻳﻘﺪﻣﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﻮﻻﺀ ﻭﺍﻟﻄﺎﻋﺔ ﻭﺍﻟﺠﺰﻳﺔ ﻷﺑﺎﻃﺮ ﺍﻟﺼﻴﻦ‬
‫ﺍﻟﻤﻨﺤﺪﺭﻳﻦ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﺠﻨﺲ ﺍﻷﺻﻔﺮ ﺍﻟﺮﺍﻗﻲ ﻭﺍﻟﻨﻘﻲ‪ .‬ﺃﻧﻪ ﺻﺎﺣﺐ ﺍﻟﺜﻘﺎﻓﺔ ﺍﻟﺼﻴﻨﻴﺔ ﺍﻟﺘﻘﻠﻴﺪﻳﺔ‬
 ‫ﺍﻟﻜﻮﻧﻔﻮﺷﻴﻮﺳﻴﺔ ﻭﺣﻜﻴﻢ ﺍﻟﺼﻴﻦ ﺍﻟﻌﻈﻴﻢ ﻻﻭﺗﺴﻪ ﻭﻫﻮ ﻣﺆﺳﺲ ﺍﻟﻔﻠﺴﻔﺔ ﺍﻟﺼﻴﻨﻴﺔ ﻭﻣﺆﻟﻒ ﻛﺘﺎﺏ‬
 ‫ﺍﻷﺧﻻﻕ ﺟﺮﺕ ﺍﻟﻌﺎﺩﺓ ‪ 2‬ﺳﺎﻟﻒ ﺍﻟﻌﺼﻮﺭ ﻭﺍﻻﺯﻣﺎﺕ ﺃﻥ ﻳﺮﻛﻊ ﻭﻳﺴﺠﺪ ﻣﻦ ﻳﺪﺧﻞ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺃﺑﺎﻃﺮﺓ‬
