2.24 No LEDs or Displays are Lit on the Area Alarm
SHOCK HAZARD:
The potential for electric shock exists with electrical equipment. Use
caution when troubleshooting any electrical device.
1. The building supply breaker is in the ON position.
Yes No
↓ → Turn the building supply breaker to the ON position. If this
solves the problem, go to “Final Actions” on page 2-7.
Otherwise, go to step 2.
2. The Area Alarm’s power supply switch to the ON position.
Yes No
↓ → Turn the power supply switch to the ON position (see “Area
Alarm Power-Up” on page 1-112). If this solves the problem, go
to “Final Actions” on page 2-7. Otherwise, go to step 3.
3. The power supply’s fuse is intact.
Yes No
↓ → Replace the power supply’s fuse (refer to procedure 4.15 on page
4-40). If this solves the problem, go to “Final Actions” on page
2-7. Otherwise, go to step 4.
4. The two orange leads coming from the power supply to the breakout board
are connected.
Yes No
↓ → Connect the two orange leads from the power supply to the
breakout board (refer to procedure 4.7 on page 4-22). If this
solves the problem, go to “Final Actions” on page 2-7.
Otherwise, go to step 5.
5. The facility’s supply voltage is connected to the alarm’s terminal block.
Yes No
↓ → Connect the facility’s supply to the alarm’s terminal block. For
the wiring diagram, refer to FO 3-4 at the rear of this document.
If this solves the problem, go to “Final Actions” on page 2-7.
Otherwise, go to step 6.
