2.21 Connection Lost With Device: Device Name
1. Connection lost with device: followed by the device name, displays on the
Master Alarm.

2. The Ethernet connections are connected properly.
Yes No
↓ → Ensure all of the Ethernet connections are connected properly.
Refer to the facility’s wiring diagram of the Ethernet network. If
this solves the problem, go to “Final Actions” on page 2-7.
Otherwise, go to step 3.
3. The Area Alarm is powered on.
Yes No
↓ → Turn the power to the Area Alarm on (see “Area Alarm Power-
Up” on page 1-112). If this solves the problem, go to “Final
Actions” on page 2-7. Otherwise, go to step 4.
4. Check the LEDs on the Network Communications Board (see “Area Alarm
Power-Up” on page 1-112). The LEDs that indicate whether the alarm is
communicating are operating correctly.
