2.14 Service Required
1. Service Required displays on the Master Alarm.

2. Master Alarm is connected to the source equipment properly.
Yes No
↓ → Connect the source equipment to the Master Alarm. Refer to
either the MedPlus TotalAlert™ Alarm Network Installation
Instructions (is550) or the MedPlus TotalAlert™ Alarm
Network—Conversion Kits Installation Instructions (is554), if
needed. If this solves the problem, go to “Final Actions” on page
2-7. Otherwise, go to step 3.
3. If the problem still exists, call Hill-Rom Technical Support at
(800) 445-3720.
2.15 Gas or Vacuum Wrong Gas
1. Wrong Gas displays on the Master Alarm.

↓ → Go to “Final Actions” on page 2-7.
2. The Area Alarm Module, at the location showing on the Master Alarm’s
display, is connected to the correct gas-specific transducer.
Yes No
↓ → Replace the transducer with one that is for the correct type of gas
or vacuum (refer to procedure 4.20 on page 4-50). If this solves
the problem, go to “Final Actions” on page 2-7. Otherwise, go to
step 3.
3. Replace the Area Alarm Module with one that is for the correct type of gas
or vacuum of the line that it is monitoring (refer to procedure 4.9 on page
4-26). This solves the problem.
