2.12 Ethernet Connection is Lost
1. Ethernet Lost displays on the Master Alarm.
Yes No
↓ → Go to “Final Actions” on page 2-7.
2. The Ethernet is connected to the Master Alarm Module.
Yes No
↓ → Connect the Ethernet to the Master Alarm Module (refer to
procedure 4.25 on page 4-68). If this solves the problem, go to
“Final Actions” on page 2-7. Otherwise, go to step 3.
3. The Ethernet is connected to the corresponding hub.
Yes No
↓ → Connect the Ethernet to the corresponding hub. Refer to the
wiring diagram of the facility’s Ethernet network. If this solves
the problem, go to “Final Actions” on page 2-7. Otherwise, go to
step 4.
4. The Master Alarm Module is operating properly.
Yes No
↓ → Replace the Master Alarm Module (refer to procedure 4.2 on
page 4-10). If this solves the problem, go to “Final Actions” on
page 2-7. Otherwise, call Hill-Rom Technical Support at
(800) 445-3720.
5. Facility’s Ethernet is operating properly.
Yes No
↓ → Call the facility’s Information Systems department. If this solves
the problem, go to “Final Actions” on page 2-7. Otherwise, go to
step 6.
