CRITICAL MINDED. Legal thinking always makes us critical. The

law provides a measuring rod whereby we can assess things, and it

causes everyone to come up short, even us if we are honest.

RESPONSIBILITY MINDED. We are so self-driven we often take

responsibility that is really not ours to take. Earlier people were

much more sovereign minded than we are today. They were God-

driven, not so much self-driven. If you will recall, our founding

fathers were more God-driven men, even though they weren’t all

Christian.

This part of our culture has been largely lost, even among most

Christians. We try to be more initiators today than just being

responders. We are ‘movers and shakers.’

It is hard to Live Life With Passion when these 10 things control our

thinking. Take inventory of how much YOU are controlled by each of

these, and how you might live life a little better. We all need to live life

on higher ground: as Paul says, above what we think.

Playing The Blame Game

Some folks play the blame game. It’s a different mindset from

being responsible. Here, we blame others because it makes us feel

better to believe that we’re not responsible. We usually blame mom,

dad and God!
