to provide the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) Summary
Barr & Barr strives to provide the highest level of quality construction services to our
highest quality customers. Accordingly, Barr & Barr has developed a Quality Assurance Plan (QAP)
that applies to all Barr & Barr projects. We assure quality on our projects through:

improvement in all of our processes
Zero Defects Program (ZDP) Summary
Th e purpose of this procedure is to outline Barr & Barr’s ZDP. It is our desire to obtain
100% buy-in from our subcontractors as partners on the Zero Defects Team. Goals
for the program include:
• Complete Barr & Barr’s scope of work with a zero punchlist at the time of
substantial completion.
• Correct outstanding non-conformances during the course of construction
within seven (7) calendar days of identifi cation, if possible
• No item will remain on a punchlist for longer than 30 days
From this weekly quality tour, the Zero Defects Team will issue a list of items deemed
incomplete, unsatisfactory or not in conformance with project quality standards. Th is
punchlist list will be distributed to all of the parties involved within 48 hours of the
inspection.
Construction Progress Photographic Documentation
Barr & Barr requires photo documentation of as-built conditions during the course of
construction. Barr & Barr’s policy is to provide representative photographic documentation
of each defi nable feature of work or phase of the project. Th e Barr & Barr staff is issued
digital cameras to insure that photos are taken on a frequent and regular basis, daily
is preferable. Photos are transferred and stored on a computer daily. Photo fi les are
accessible 24/7 and minimally will be transferred to the Owner on a monthly basis.
Preconstruction Photography
Take photographs and video prior to mobilization to document conditions prior to the
start of construction.
Th e following is a representative list of subjects to photograph prior to the start of
construction:
• Sidewalks, curbs and paving
• Trees and existing vegetation
• Drainage structures
• Existing site utilities, such as, power, light, data, cable, telephone, water,
sewer
• Adjacent buildings and structures
Construction Photography
Photograph critical assemblies on a regular basis.
Th e following is a representative list (not all-inclusive) of subjects to photograph during
construction:
• Acoustic insulation systems
• Balcony and deck waterproofi ng assemblies
• Bath and shower assemblies, including all wet walls in bathrooms
• Drywall partitions after MEPS rough-in and prior to double siding
• Electrical systems
