Preparation of activated TLC plate
To prepare 2 plates (10cm x 10cm or 10cm x 5cm) of
0.2mm thickness dissolve 16g of silica gel (G) in 35ml

1 hour and cool. Draw lines with 1cm space such that
standards are at the middle of the plate and four sample
spots can be applied on either side of the standard.
PROCEDURE
FTake 10 gm of sample in a beaker. Add 36 ml of
Acetonitrile, 4 ml of 4% Kcl solution & 0.8 ml of 5N
HCl. Stir well this mixture for 5 mins & filter the

FCollect 20 ml of Filtrate, 20 ml of Distilled water & 20
