training designs/training activity plans through the use of language,
training aids and methodologies that are sensitive to a diverse set of
employees by reason of age, sexual orientation and gender identity, civil
status, special needs, religion, politics and ethnicity.
5.2.4.3. Venues for in-house training programs shall be held in a
location where facilities for persons with special needs are available.
Likewise, the DHRD shall ascertain first if venues of external
trainings are conducive to participants with special needs, such as
elderly, pregnant women, differently-abled persons, etc. before the
attendance of the latter to such external programs. Facilities of venues
may include, but not limited to ramps, elevators, wheelchairs, air
conditioning units.
5.2.4.4. When it comes to food provisions during the conduct of
training programs, the DHRD or other training service providers of the
university shall consider the participants ‘religion or health conditions.
Scope
The Learning and Development (L&D) Plan for Faculty and Non-teaching
personnel of IFSU covers all permanent, temporary and co-terminus
personnel, of the six campuses of the University.
This L&D Plan includes attendance to and participation in trainings, seminars,
workshops, conferences, symposia, fora, and similar activities. This also
includes managerial trainings and seminars to be attended by senior officials
of the University.
The L&D Plan shall provide for a centralized implementation of the proposed
trainings which shall be the responsibility of the DHRD.
It shall go through FSDC deliberation and recommended for approval of the
University President
A monitoring form shall be filled out by the immediate supervisors within a
year after their subordinates’ attendance to any training or seminar to
determine if there are improvements brought about by the participation to said
activities. The result of this assessment shall be discussed to the personnel
involved for transparency and as input to the next training to be attended.
These are training programs with a duration of less than one year which may
be availed by employees through the recommendation of the immediate
supervisor or upon the directive of the University President.
5.3. In-house Trainings -These are trainings conducted by the
Department of Human Resources Development and other Offices to IFSU
