This piece went through a
number of rather
painstaking stages;
* Prep the background with
layers of tissue paper, PVA
and acrylic - drying in
between layers.
*Sketch out the face.
*Paint the face
*Paint the flower headdress with acrylic and coloured
translucent paper
*Cut out all the butterflies by hand - each one slightly
different
*Paint and decorate the card butterflies with acrylic,
metallic & glitter
*Stiffen the butterfly wings with layers of PVA
*Work out the composition of the butterflies then attach
them with hot glue gun
* Go all over varnishing the paint work & all the elements
