Abstrak: The Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia have required
universities to implement team-based project instruction. This policy implicitly
regulate how a course syllabus is designed. The design of the project-based
syllabus is going to be pictured out in this article, particularly for Basic Writing
course. The design was derived from a research and development result using
ADDIE model conducted at English Education Study Program of Faculty of
Teaher Training and Education at Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji in
academic year 2021/ 2022. The data of the research was collected through
questionaire. Finaly, it was found that the design of Basic Writing project-based
syllabus consisted of several components: (1) Course Identity, (2)
Authorization, (3) Learning Outcomes, (4) Course Description, (5) Course
Topic, (6) Refferences, and (7) Weekly Teaching and Learning Activities. It is
hoped that by implementing the syllabus, the students‘ critical thinking and
creativity in collaboration can be built.
