Chapter 4 Frame and Carriage Assembly

Installing the Boom Mount

1) Measure the distance from the outside surface of the rail to the wall on the Equipment Room side and subtract 3-
1/2” as shown below. Cut the Boom Mount at determined length.

• Measure this distance and Cut the end to the
subtract 3-1/2” determined length
• Cut the Boom Mount at this 5-1/2”
length 3-1/2”

Direction of Travel

2) Clamp the Boom to the fork-lift and raise it into position at the height shown in images below.
3) The image below shows the location to mark the wall for bay height placement of the Wall
Mount. Once marked, drill the top hole and secure the Wall Mount Assembly into position
while placing one of the Mounting Plates on the opposite side of the wall in the equipment
room as shown below.
