INSTALLATION AND STARTUP
Chapter 4 Frame and Carriage Assembly
Carriage Placement
5) Raise the main carriage assembly upward and side shift it onto the fixed passenger side rail. The
side of the carriage rollers should be approximately 1/16’’ from the inner side of the rail.
CAUTION
The clearance between the rail and the top of the side pod plate is approximately 1/8”
so use a spotter to help guide the carriage onto the rails and also to help position the
carriage as you raise it up. Be sure to keep the forks level.
6) Next, slide the driver side rail at both Head beams under the driver side rollers until the roller lips
are 1/8” from inside surface of the rail which ends up being approximately 92-1/4” between the
rails.
7) Lower the machine onto the rails slowly to make sure everything clears. Adjust the L-Bracket
Clamps on the driver side as needed. You may need to lift the machine back up to slide the rails
inward). When tightening the clamps, the rails will close in towards the roller. Check that the roller
lips are within 1/16” from the rail when tightened.
8) Set the final two Rail Travel Stop Clamps onto the rails while keeping in mind all of the
procedures discussed above.
9) Locate the supplied 1/2-13 x 1” stainless steel fasteners. Apply a small amount of Red Loc-Tite™
to all 4 of them. Install the Safety Bracket Weldments to the driver side and passenger side of the
Carriage as shown below.
