Optional Deluxe Boom

Routing the Airlines Over the Boom Utility Capture Assembly
1) Locate the FressStyler® Boom Utility Capture Assembly and slide it onto the Boom Mount as
shown below. Tighten it at 34” from the end as shown in the images below.

Be sure to leave loops at the ends and slack in the middle to allow for hose bending and movement thru the
motion of the machine. Check all routing as the first few test machines are ran to verify proper function.

Re-assembling the Drive Shaft

1) Begin with removing the 1/2-13 x 1” fastener and the 1-1/2” OD flat washer from the driver side
splined shaft. Now remove the splined shaft from the gearbox.
2) Place the key stock back into the driver side splined shaft and slide back through the gearbox.
Once through the gearbox, place the aluminum spline shaft spacer on to the shaft with the
tapered edge facing the bearing. Push the shaft through the bearing, apply Loctite®™ 271 to the
threads of the 1/2-13 x 1” fastener. Tighten the fastener to the recommended torque value as
stated in the chart on page 1-6 of this manual.
3) Put the drive couplings with their key stock back on to each shaft. Be sure that the gap between
the shafts are equal on both sides and that the key stock is engaged on both shafts. You can now
tighten down the 3/8-16 fasteners on the couplings.
