Good afternoon too! I have a reservation
Receptionist: Good afternoon Ma’am, welcome to Heaven Resort! May I help you?
Traveler: Good afternoon too! I have a reservation, and my name is Aeriel Takuhi. I want
to check-in now if you please.
Receptionist: Ma’am, could you wait a while as I check it out on the computer?
Traveler: No problem! Thanks!
Receptionist: Alright Ma’am, Our computer says that you’ve reserved for a single room
near the fi re exit. Is that so, Ma’am?
Traveler: Yes, you’re right about that. It’s a bit funny, but it’s true. I just want to be sure
that I’ll be safe from fi re in case something happens. Well, I hope not!
Receptionist: I understand your fear Ma’am, but don’t you worry about that. Our hotel
is fully equipped with fi re extinguishers and hoses. We made sure that there would be
enough in every fl oor. Moreover, we got rescue teams and fi rst aiders available 24/7
within the hotel, so you can be sure that you will be safe here at Heaven Resort!
Traveler: Well, that’s very nice to know. What’s my room number anyway? Can I have it,
so I can check-in now? I’m a bit tired that’s why.
Receptionist: Certainly, your room number is 0326 on the 7th fl oor.
Traveler: Oh, that’s nice, here’s my Visa Card and my passport. I think you need an iden-
tifi cation card with that.
Receptionist: That’s nice. Please, sign your name here. Here is the key, Ma’am.
Traveler: Thanks a lot! I can’t wait to take a plunge. I’m sure that the water’s fi ne and
soothing, just like you. It felt nice talking to you, dear.
1. When is your favorite time to check-in a hotel?
Sample answer:
I don’t have any favorite time for checking-in a hotel because it actually depends on my sched-
ule for a certain event.
2. What do you expect from the hotel staff particularly the receptionists and
the room boys before you check in?
Sample answer:
I want them to be accommodating, nice and professional because I tend to be so disappointed
in a hotel with insincere and inefficient staff.
