Çré Vraja-réti-cintämaëi

            North of that is Gopéça where, worshiped by them, Lord Çiva pleased
            the gopés' hearts by giving them the benediction to enjoy pastimes
            with Lord Kåñëa.



                                         Text 75

                                tasyeça-koëe tad-adüra eva
                                 taöe taöinyä naöatéva bhäti
                              vaàçévaöo yasya tale sa-vaàçéà
                             vaàçé-dharo vädayate priyaà yaù


               tasya—from that place; iça-kone—north; tat—from there; adüre—not
               far; eva—certainly;  taöe—on the shore; tatinyäù—of the Yamunä river;
               natati—a dancer; iva—like; bhäti—is splendidly manifest; vaàçévataù—
               Vaàçévata; yasya—of which; tale—on the surface; sa—with; vaàçém—
               His flute; vaàçé-eharaù—Çré Kåñëa, the holder of the flute; vädayate—
               attracts; priyam—His beloved; yaù—who.

             A little north of that, at Vaàçévaöa, which is like a splendid dancer
            on the Yamunä's shore, Çré Kåñëa attracted His beloved by playing
            the flute.

                             yad-uttare naidhuvanaà vanaà tat
                              tan-näma gétaà çruti-citta-nétam
                            so 'ntarhito yatra paraà priyaà präg
                            räsonmukhibhyo ramayan priyäbhyaù


               yat—of which; uttare—to the north; naidhuvanam—Naidhuvana;
               vanam—forest; tat—that; tat—of that; näma—the name; gétam—
               described; çruti—to the ear; citta-and mind; nétam—brought; sah—
               He;  antarhitah—deisappeared;  yatra—where;  param—most priyam—
               beloved; präk—before; räsa—on the räsa-dance; unmukhibhyaù—intent;
               ramayan—delighting; priyäbhyäù—from the beloved gopés.

            North of that is Nidhuvana, the name of which attracts the ears
            and heart. Delighting His beloved, Çré Kåñëa disappeared from the
            company of gopés eager to enjoy the räsa dance there.
