d. Make the assembly marks on the steering wheel and
intermediate steering shaft, to ensure that all parts shall
be mounted into their original places when they are DI
re-assembled.
e. Mount the locking nuts for the steering wheel, and EG
make the upper surface of the nuts flush with the bolt
surface for the intermediate steering shaft.

f. Sway or tap the steering wheel, to loose the
steering wheel.

g. Unscrew the locking nuts for the steering wheel, and
remove the steering wheel assembly.

2. Checking the steering wheel ST

a. Check if the flange of steering wheel is lifted or there is any crack or rapture.
b. Check if there exists any deformation or damage on more than 2 teeth on the inner spline.

If any of above defects is found, replace the steering wheel with a new one.

3. Installing the steering wheel assembly BW
a. Align the marks on both steering wheel and intermediate
steering shaft and attach the steering wheel to the EL
intermediate steering shaft.

b. Mount and tighten the locking nuts for the steering wheel.
Torque: 60~80N•m
