ST-16 Steering system- Steering Mechanism

Steering Column

Change

1. Switch off the master switch of battery
2. Dismount the assembly of steering wheel (refer to “Chapter ST steering system-steering
mechanism-steering wheel, replacement”)

3. Dismount the assembly of combination switch (refer to “Chapter ST steering system-steering
mechanism-combination switch, replacement”)

4. Disconnecting the link between the intermediate
steering shaft and steering gear

a. Filp-over the cab.
b. Remove the locking bolts for the universal joint of the
intermediate steering shaft, and pull out the intermediate
steering shaft from the steering gear.

5. Disassembling the steering column

a. Disconnect the ignition switch connector.

b. Open the harness snap on the bracket and Remove the
steering column harness.

c. Unscrew the fixing bolts for the harness and Remove
the harness bracket.

d. Remove the lower fixing bolts of the steering column
bracket.
