c. Drill through the adhesive with the awl and pass the wire IN
between the body and the windshield in the vehicle.
d. Tie the ends of the wire onto a wooden block or the like.

e. Pull the thin wire along the front windshield to cut off the

adhesive.

Caution

● When a glass positioning block is encounted, skip the

positioning block and re-install the wire.

● Before the front windshield is separated, do not to
damage the paint or inner and outer trims. AX
● To prevent scratches on the joint between the
front windshield and the instrument when removing the
FR
front windshield, place a plastic piece between the

thin wire and the joint.

f. Remove the windshield assembly with a suction disc.

Be careful not to drop the front windshield.

7. Clean the front windshield

a. Remove the adhesive on the windshield with a scrapper.

b. Remove the windshield positioning block.

Caution

Do not damage the front windshield.
c. Clean the outer circumference of the
front windshield with a dissolving solvent.

Caution

● Do not touch the front windshield surface after
cleaning.

● Clean the new front windshield with the dissolving
solvent before use.

8. Clean the body
a. Clean and condition the body contact surfaces.

● Remove the rough glass sealant on the body contact
surfaces with a scrapper.

● Clean the body contact surfaces with a cloth soaked with

detergent.

Caution

Be careful not to damage the body. Even if all the glass

sealant is removed, the body should be also cleaned.
