BW - 140 Body - Dashboard, instrument cluster, ashtray

Change
1. Remove the steering column (see “Chapter ST Steering System – Steering Gear - Steering Column,
Replacement”)
2. Dismount the instrument panel (refer to "Chapter BW body-instrument panel, combination
instrument, ashtray- instrument panel, replacement”)
3. Remove the diagnostic interface
a. Remove the diagnostic interface mounting screws and
remove the diagnostic interface.

4. Remove the front flip cover buckle
a. Remove the front flip cover buckle mounting bolts and
remove the front flip cover buckle.

5. Remove ABS controller and the body controller
a. Disconnect ABS controller and body controller
connectors.
b. Remove ABS controller and the body controller.

6. Remove the dashboard wiring harness assembly
a. Disconnect the air conditioning wiring harness connector.
b. Disconnect the connectors and the grounding wires on
both ends of the instrument wiring harness.
c. Remove the instrument wiring box mounting bolts and
disconnect the dashboard witing harness mounting ties on
the dashboard mounting beam welding assembly and
remove all wiring harness from the dashboard mounting
beam welding assembly.
Caution
Before removing the dashboard wiring harness, must
mark the dashboard wiring harness mounting positions
for later installation.
