1. Disconnect the cable of battery negative pole

2. Recover the coolant (refer to Chapter EG engine part-engine-cooling system-coolant, replacement”)

3. Dismount the instrument panel assembly (refer to Chapter BW body-instrument panel, combination

instrument, ashtray-instrument panel, replacement”)

4. Remove the warm air and A/C assembly (refer to “Chapter EL Electrical System - Electrical
Components - Warm Air and A/C, Replacement”)

AX 5. Removing the air heater assembly
a. Remove the fixing screws for the air heater assembly.

BW b. Remove the transition air duct.
c. Remove the fixing screws for the warm air water tank
hold down plate.

d. Remove the fixing screws from the warm air water tank

cover. Remove the warm air water tank cover.

e. Remove the warm air water tank.

6. Check the warm air water tank if following failures are present. If yes, repair or replace the air

heater assembly

a. The warm air water tank body is broken.
b. The warm air water tank is seriously rusty.
c. The solder layer of the tube connector of the warm air water tank became detached..
d. The warm air water tank is internally blocked.
e. The warm air water tank fins are damaged.
