EG - 174 Engine section – Engine (Cummins ISF3.8)

Check on car
1. Check and adjust the belt tightness

a. Press the belt between the water pump and the generator by hand, check the deflection of the belt and press
the belt deflection of 10 ~ 15mm with 98N.
b. Adjust the belt tension by changing the generator position, and then check the belt deflection. Until it is
adjusted to the proper tension, the bolts are tightened and adjusted.
2. Check the coolant leaks

a. Check whether the hose of the cooling pipe has aging and rupture, if any, it shall be promptly replaced.
b. Check whether there is leakage in the connection of the cooling pipe hose, if any, it is necessary to tighten
or replace the hoop.
3. Check the radiator assembly.

a. Check whether the radiator fin is damaged, if damaged, it shall be repaired or replaced.
b. Check whether there is leakage in the radiator, if any, it shall be promptly replaced.
