AX-66 Axles, Transmission Shafts - Rear Axle

Measurement
1. Measure the axle gear shaft sleeve and differential case

a. Measure the outer diameter of axle gear shaft sleeve.
Outer diameter:φ72mm

b. Measure the inner diameter of the shaft sleeve fitting
position of differential case (right).
Inside radius: φ72mm

2.Measurement of backlash of the planet gear and the
axle shaft gear

a. Measure the backlash of the planet gear and the axle
shaft gear
Standard value: 0.25~0.4mm

Caution
When measuring the backlash of planetary gear, the

planetary gear cross shaft must be pressed down hardly.

• When measuring the backlash of the planetary gear and the axle
shaft gear, the dial indicator's gauge is perpendicular to the tooth
surface of planetary gear. First, rotate the planetary gear in one
direction to make contact with the axle shaft gear. Then rotate the
planetary gear in the other direction and read the reading on the
gauge when it comes into contact with the axle shaft gear. Then
compare the measured value with the standard value.
• Backlash adjustment of planetary gear and axle shaft gear, can
be performed by adjusting the thrust washers of planetary gear.
• Backlash adjustment of planetary gear and axle shaft
gear, can be performed by adjusting the thrust washers of
axle shaft gear behind the two axle shaft gear.
