04-46 DIAGNOSTICS - ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM (ABS)

1 . DTC inspection
(a) Ignition switch: OFF.
(b) Connect the diagnostic apparatus.
(c) Use the diagnostic apparatus, read the fault code.
(d) Confirm whether there is a fault code related to acceleration sensor fault?

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>To step 2.

NO>Intermittent trouble exists.

2 . Check acceleration sensor power supply circuit.
(a) Ignition switch: OFF.
(b) Disconnect the battery negative cable.
(c) Disconnect connector D008 of acceleration sensor.
(d) Connect the battery negative cable.
(e) Ignition switch: ON.

(f) Use a multimeter to measure the voltage
between the pin 3 of connector D008 of
acceleration sensor and the ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>To step 3.
NO> Repair or replace harness or connector.

3 . Check acceleration sensor harness.
(a) Ignition switch: OFF.
(b) Disconnect the battery negative cable.
(c) Disconnect connector A006 of ABS/ESP.
(d) Disconnect acceleration sensor connector D008.
