a)  Basis of claims

                                An Employee is eligible to claim for his out-going journey:

                                             Meal              If he leaves his home location / office


                                  Breakfast, lunch & dinner  Before 8.00 am

                                     Lunch & dinner only       Between 8.00 am to 1.00 pm


                                         Dinner only           After 1.00 pm

                                An Employee is eligible to claim for his return journey:

                                                               If he returns to his home location /
                                             Meal
                                                               office

                                  Breakfast, lunch & dinner  After 7.00 pm


                                   Breakfast & lunch only      Between 1.00 pm and 7.00 pm

                                        Breakfast only         Before 1.00 pm


                                For day-trip travelling, an Employee is eligible for the full day meal
                                allowance if he leaves his home base before 8.00 am and returns to
                                home base after 7.00 pm. If he leaves the home base after 8.00 am,
                                breakfast allowance is not included and if he returns to home base
                                before 7.00 pm, dinner allowance is not included.

                            b)  Employees shall not claim for the meal which is already being provided
                                / paid by a third party or by the Company e.g. free breakfast at the
                                hotel,  dinner  provided  by  supplier,  lunch  provided  during  seminar  /
                                training etc.

                            c)  When travelling in a group, each Employee shall be responsible for his
                                own meal expenses. If social practice dictates that someone should
                                pay  for  the  bill,  this  person  shall  then  collect  from  the  rest  of  the
                                Employees the proportionate cost of their meals.
