37.5 Hotel accommodation (Within Malaysia)
When overnight accommodation is necessary during business travel,
Employees should exercise discretion in selecting appropriate hotels. Due
consideration is given to the location and distance between the hotel and
the meeting place /office.
Grade With Receipt Without Receipt
18 to 25 Up to RM400 RM150 per night
14A to17 Up to RM300 RM125 per night
10 to 13 Up to RM250 RM100 per night
a) Employees should ensure that the hotel room reservation is made prior
to travelling. Reimbursement of hotel bills (full tax invoice inclusive of
SST is provided) shall be based on actual, subject to the maximum
limit as shown above. Those who have alternative arrangement for
accommodation and do not wish to stay at the hotel may claim for an
allowance as stated above.
b) Employee shall pay for the hotel room charges upon checking out
unless other arrangement has been made in advance.
c) Other incidental expenses such as laundry, reading materials, in-
house pay-movies, telephone and meals should be on the Employee’s
own account.
d) When travelling in a group, Employees of the same sex (Grade 17 &
below) shall share a Double Room subject to their eligibility as stated
above.
e) Employees should exercise their discretion in selecting reasonable
class hotel instead of high-end hotels for their stay.
37.6 Overseas Travel
