For Egypt was southwest [relative to Eretz Yisrael] 15 ,íÖ³Ð−Öí³−ÌëÖþμÔô³−ÌôBþÐðÌaóÌ−ÔþЮÌnÓL 23 What is the difference between CÓLÒì−Ìí−Ìî and CÓLÒìLÑôÖ−Ðî? 24 Thus CÓLÒì−Ìí−Ìî refers to the normal darkness of night
as has been explained elsewhere. 16 :þÑìÔê óBšÖôÐaLÖþÒõÐnÓLBôÐk and μ¾ì ¾ô−î refers to the increasing miraculous darkness of the plague (M.L., See also B.Y.) 25 Yeshaiyahu 13, 20.
26 II Shmuel 22, 40. 27 Below, 13, 22. 28 Thus, according to Onkelos the verse is to be understood as follows:
CÓLÒìLÑôÖ−Ðî—when the darkness of night departs, then:—óÌ−ÔþЮÌô±ÓþÓêñÔ¼CÓLÒì−Ìí−Ìî— a [miraculous] darkness will descend
14 Who? Pharaoh could not have been the one who expelled them since the verse end with í¼þõ −òõ ³êô—“from upon the land of Egypt. 29 Had CÓLÒìLÑôÖ−Ðî been written before CÓLÒì−Ìí−Ìî the ’î of LÑôÖ−Ðî would be explained thus: “And
Pharaoh’s presence” (S.C.). 15 Therefore an east wind can bring the locusts, which originated in the east, westward when the dark of night departed, there was [miraculous] darkness over the land of Egypt.” But since CÓLÒì−Ìí−Ìî is
 to Egypt. 16 Bamidbar 34, 3. 26015-EYAL - 26015-SHMOT-EYAL | 4 - B | 18-07-18 | 09:55:43 | SR:-- | Magenta 26015-EYAL - 26015-SHMOT-EYAL | 4 - B | 18-07-18 | 09:55:43 | SR:-- | Black 26015-EYAL - 26015-SHMOT-EYAL | 4 - B | 18-07-18 | 09:55:43 | SR:-- | Cyan #26015-EYAL - 26015-SHMOT-EYAL | 4 - B | 18-07-18 | 09:55:43 | SR
